Two-year-olds are special: their curiosities, abilities, and interests are flourishing. They are beginning to wonder, explore, ask why, ask why again, ask why some more. Their developing skills, abilities, and independence makes this the perfect opportunity for engaging their sense of discovery with project-based learning and hands on experience.
The Creative Curriculum® supports your child’s
teacher every day as they engage your child in meaningful experiences such as playing with toys, enjoying books and stories, creating art, and going outdoors.
Three-year-olds are often described as being in transition. They more closely resemble four-year-olds and five-year-olds than two-year olds. Their expanded ability to express themselves and play in small groups helps them expand their social worlds. Four-year-olds are working on many of the same
developmental tasks as three-year-olds but they usually do so at a higher level.
The Creative Curriculum® promotes learning through studies. Studies span several weeks and are in-depth, hands-on investigations of topics that are relevant to children’s everyday lives. Throughout each study, children raise questions about the topic and find
answers to their questions by exploring, experimenting, and investigating first hand, through activities that take place in both our indoor and outdoor classrooms. These investigations allow children to meaningfully build upon
and apply skills in all critical areas of learning including math, literacy, science, and so much more.
Our indoor and outdoor classrooms are an important part of our early learning curriculum with a special focus on our outdoor learning areas which allows us to remain responsive to your child’s health and safety.
Our distinct interest stations include blocks, dramatic
play, toys and games, art, early literacy and library,
discovery, sand and water, music and movement,
cooking, technology, and natural play.
