We believe children have an insatiable appetite for knowledge when they have learning experiences that are engaging and enjoyable. Providing the right opportunities within an environment that encourages children to explore and make choices helps them feel competent and independent.
Guided by our understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, we teach in ways that match how children think and learn.
PlayWrite is an early learning center with a special focus on building social and emotional competence. We pay close attention to every child’s developmental needs and set the stage for them to explore, discover, and learn at their own unique pace.
We could give your children workbooks.
We could make them memorize the alphabet.
We could drill them.
We could test them.
But if we do, your children may lose something very important.

"Teaching is a creative process, whilst children are a science. As adults it's our responsibility to ensure we equip ourselves with the understanding and the skills we need to know how young children think and learn best. PlayWrite is an opportunity for me to share my years of experience and knowledge with parents and educators to prepare and empower children to succeed as people, not just students. I'm excited to be a part of these precious and formative years of your child's life."

At PlayWrite we use The Creative Curriculum®, a research-based, whole child-focused approach to project-based learning. It’s a content-rich, hands-on curriculum that supports children in developmentally appropriate ways to become active learners, who are creative, confident and armed with lifelong critical thinking skills.
The Creative Curriculum® promotes learning through studies. Studies span several weeks and are in-depth, hands-on investigations of topics that are relevant to children’s’ everyday lives. Throughout each study, children raise questions about the topic and find answers to their questions by exploring, experimenting, and investigating first hand, through activities that take place in both, our indoor and outdoor classrooms. These investigations allow children to meaningfully build upon and apply skills in all critical areas of development and learning, including math, literacy, science, and so much more.
